Bucklers Hard

This tiny village in the heart of the New Forest has a big past. This is where Nelson’s ships were built. Just past the village is the ship building site where huge oaks from the New Forest where shaped into ships that sailed the high seas. See the Master Builder’s house, the museum for the village which originally had been associated with…sugar! Walk through a worker’s house and see the conditions that families lived in and say a quick prayer in the tiny chapel for all of those who work on the sea.
